Hi Peter, We just purchased the latest version 5.3.3 and are running into some issues getting this working properly on a DNN 5.02.02 site. I have installed and uninstalled several times with no errors. This is an upgrade from a previous version 5.2.2 which we have live on another site with no issues. Quick history, I installed this version over the previous with no issues and it didn’t render correctly and it had no folder functionality. I then uninstalled and deleted all related lines/files(web.config, folders, SQL, etc…), Then Reinstalled with no error, I get the same issue. 1) The site is not rendering correctly. I read a post about the “module.css not loading correctly” and I tried copying the contents to the DNN portal.css and it initially worked to make the window render correctly. However, once I copied the image folder over to correct the broken icon links I ran into the same rendering issue. Icons overlap and the windows overlap. Do you know of any one running into this issue? a. I have moved all the contents back to their original location b. Using firebug I did notice a backslash issue with some of the paths. When I copy the link into my browser it does pull the module.css file. Something is not being read correctly. I get the same issues across browsers (IE, FireFox) 2) I do not have any functionality under the folder menu item. Ex)when I click on Folder>New folder, I expect a window to pop up to add a new entry. The page refreshes and still remains blank. Nothing is displayed in the content window. This goes for everything under the folder menu item. a. Functionality works for all other menu items(Tools, Admin, Help) and documents open correctly. Your help is much appreciated. We love the module and have been using the previous version with great success. We just need to get the latest install configured properly on our new site. Thanks

Hi Chad, 1. I was under the impression the module.css issue was not a DNN 5.2.2 issue, but later. It is not something I can resolve but needs to be resolved by DNN. They know about this and have promised to act on it. If the site is visible for me I'd be happy to take a look by the way. Just send me info by email. 2. This sounds like the installation somehow did not complete adequately. I'd need to see the site to be able to help. Alternatively you can send me a Sys Info file through the Admin > Get Help function. Best, Peter |

Peter, 1. I have been able to prove that rendering issue is skin related and that I need to figure out what styles are overriding each other. I switched the skin of the page to the classic DNN and everything renders correctly. This is an issue that i need to figure out on my end. 2. I am still having diffilculty figuring out the reason why I can't see any folders or items in the window. Our team has been able to reinstall on other DNN installs with no issues. I ran the Admin>Get Help Function and I have the file SysInfo file but it wasnt delivered to your support email address(Security settings). Is there a email where I can send the SysInfo.zip file? Feel free to conact me through email. thanks Chad |

Hi Chad, Did you check that whitespace filtering was off (DNN Host Settings)? You can send a sysinfo zip to info at bring2mind dot net if you still need to. Peter |

Peter, Thank you very much for taking the time to work with me to resolve the issues! I figured I would post the fixes... 1) I needed to update our skin with some css from DMX. For some reason some of the css from DMX was being overriden by our custom skin. 2)Went to Admin> Run Scripts - clicked on "Prepare Portal" and then went to host settings and restarted the application. Everything works like a charm Thanks Chad |
