I've several HTML pages saved from Word documents and they contain images. The documents are saved as "htm". When I upload the documents, i cannot see the images just the text. Is there some setup i need to do?
Thanks!

Any answers to this? Our recommendation to use DMX depends on this. Thanks!

Hello Prakash,
Peter may have a solution, but it would seem the easiest solution would be to re-save the Word documents as native .doc or .docx files, then upload these and the problem should disappear.

Hi Prakash,
If you save a Word document as HTML then you basically split up the document into an HTML part and various referenced image files under a folder. In the HTML document you'll find references to this. If you move the HTML document (like uploading it to DMX) those references become meaningless. There's no way you can do that in that way. You'll see the same if you just move the HTML document somewhere else on your disk or onto another PC. The images are still on your own PC. They didn't go anywhere.
I have worked on several solutions in the past to alleviate this. One was a module called MHTML module. This is no longer developed and has probably gone extinct. But it used the ability of Word to save as MHTML which packages the images together with the HTML.
A more modern approach is to use a specialized component to split the Word document on the server and repair the links there. I've done this in the so called DocView extension. But this comes at a price as the use components are not cheap. Check it out on the demo site.
