Hi Peter, Latest version of DMX and DNN Pro 5.6.2. When I create an Entry in DMX (or edit attributes on an existing one) The permissions control lists the Portal Roles, but does not show the checkboxes to change the permissions. Any Idea of why? I did take an existing site, created a template, and used that to replicate it for another portal. Odd behaviour in the original DMX instance now, when I right click an entry the "Edit Attributes" is not there. I am logged in as Host for both issues. can you point me in a direction to look for the issue? Thanks greg |

Hi Greg, First make sure the administrator for your site is set correctly. Does he/she see the checkboxes? Check who is listed as administrator on the portal settings page. A host user impersonates this account in DMX as host users have no role membership in a portal. If this is correct (and the admin also doesn't see selectable checkboxes) then try running the "repair permissions" script under Admin > Run Scripts (DMX menu). Restart the application to be sure all changes are reloaded into memory. Peter |

Hi Peter, I've been playing around with the scripts and this is what I found. If I impersonate the administrator of Site 1 then all permissions work well, if I switch back to Host the permissions do not work. I run the repair permsisions script, then the Host user works on Site 1. I then go to site 2 which was created using a template of Site 1. The Host user permissions do not work, The Admin Permissions do work if I impersonate, the host does not. I run the repair permission script and the host works on site 2, however it stops working on site 1 So my work around is to just to impersonate the user when administrating DMX. Not a big deal on my part, but it may be worthwhile to check it out? -- It may just be something in my set up. Cheers Greg

Hi Greg, You can't "jump" from one site to another when logged in as host as indeed it will retain the admin ID of the previous portal. I'll see if that can be fixed. Peter |
