Hi, Up to a few weeks ago DMX was working fine. I now have an issue where when I add a folder or file it does not appear in the folder list. All the old folders and files appear normally. I had a look in the SQL table DMX entries and found that the entries where there but missing LastVersionID and LastModified date. When I manually put this data in (by putting in current time and copying entry from EntryID) it appears in the DMX folder list. Any ideas on how to repair this? I am running DNN 6.1.1 and DMX 5.3.3 On a separate or related issue if I try and update the module to 6.0 I end up with no folders or files. Is there a way a can back up the content, erase the module, reload the latest version to see if it works the reload the documents? Thanks

Hi Stephan, You will need to update your DMX. There are several breaking changes in DNN 6 which necessitate an upgrade. Your lost folders or files after an upgrade to DMX 6 is unfamaliar. The only way to lose data is to uninstall. Provided you didn't do that, the content must still be there. Note that you may need to refresh your browser to get the new javascript files so the UI displays correctly again. Whatever you do, through, don't erase the module or you'll loose all your content. Uninstalling the module removes the tables in SQL. Upgrading is seemless and you just upload the latest version under Host > Extensions. DNN takes care of the upgrade. Peter |

Hi Peter, I have tried to update again and used version 6.0.1 and I get a module with no folders. Is there anyway to refresh the view? Thanks Stephan |

I think I have found the problem. Looks like it is a browser compatibility issue. I generally use Safari 5.1.2 and the module box is blank. When I use Firefox 8.0.1 everything works fine. Can you confirm this issue? Thanks |

Hi Stephan, That could well be it. Safari has issues with the third party component we use for this. Peter |

Today I start have this problem too :( I'm running DMX 6.0 on DNN 5.5.1 (it's a new installation, not an update from a previous release). The last modified date is set to 01/01/0001 and the version is set to 1 I've the problem with all the browsers (Firefox 9, Chrome 16, etc etc). I don't know if this could help but the main language of the portal is "Italian". I tried to change the current culture language to en-US and upload a new file but nothing changed. I hope you can help me. Thank you for your attention __ Valentino |

@Stephan, I've tested Safari 5.1.2 (OSX Lion) and it ran fine. Did you refresh the browser so it picked up the new JS and CSS from the module? Peter |
