So I add a directory to my DMX instance, and all the files are available to view etc. But, an additional file is also there "thumbs.db". On checking via Windows Explorer, this in fact is a hidden file.

How can I tell DMX not to show certain files/extensions? Or do I have to manually delete these files myself via the DMX front end?

Thanks in advance.

You'll need to delete them by hand. DMX is agnostic to file types. It treats it as any other file.

Great, thanks for the response. I delete the file within DMX, but when the sync job kicks in, it picks up the file again and shows it again. I cannot physically delete the file, as this is a windows system file.

But I do have a work around. My .NET module is in fact picking up the files from the DMX table itself, and showing them within a window. I can just code the SQL, to exclude certain files and thumbs.db being one of them.

Thanks again.
