Our server admin asked if iSearch is compatible with SQL Server 2008R2 in a Failover clustered environment and if it should this be installed on the web server or the SQL Server?
We are deplying Document Exchange across our enterprise in several portals.
Thanks for a great product.

Hi Martin,
iSearch? Not using that. DMX uses Lucene, which is independent from the data storage method.

Sorry, I was using the wrong term:
Our server admin asked if iFilter is compatible with SQL Server 2008R2 in a Failover clustered environment and if it should this be installed on the web server or the SQL Server?

The iFilters should be installed on the server where the asp.net application runs, i.e. the web server. The asp.net application should have sufficient privileges to run unmanaged code.
