Can you tell me how I would go about removing the cut, copy, navigate and view in windows explorer options from the menus?

I don't want these available to the user. Even though when they click on these links, nothing happens, it would be best to not have them visible at all.

I looked at the xsl menu document, but I can't figure out which blocks are responsible for those specific items.

Look for the terms CutX, CopyX and PasteX (the X here signifies that it is a menu item that appears on the Folder, Item and context menus). That should lead you straight to those menu items.
