My client is reporting that the Properties "dialog" for folders or documents won't close by clicking the 'X' Close button on Internet Explorer 9. Each time it is pressed, the dialog moves a little to the right and down until it approaches the edge of the screen. The site is running DotNetNuke 6.2.5 with Document Exchange 6.1.3. I can reproduce the problem and also noticed that the problem is not repeatable in Internet Explorer "Compatibility Mode". However, this mode is primarily to emulate older, buggier behavior in IE, so we do not recommend it and do not consider this a real "fix". Also, we do NOT see this problem with the current versions of Firefox, Safari or Chrome. (Nice work, IE9!) Is anyone else seeing this problem? Is there a better work-around or fix? |

Isn't this related to the DNN control bar in specific versions of DNN? There is some scripting issue that leads to this in certain circumstances. But you need to be an admin or the bar won't show. And probably also in edit mode. Peter |

Thanks, Peter. Our site is using DotNetNuke version 6.2.5. I can repeat this problem even as a non-admin users that does not see the DNN Control Bar. I certainly can believe it is a DNN problem. I wonder if anyone else has run into this. Also, the work-around is to use the browser "Refresh" command to refresh the page. This makes the dialog go away. |

Of course, the other work-around / fix is to use a more standards-compliant browser such as Firefox, Chrome or Safari. :-) |

I am experiancing the same issue as well. Not a show stopper problem, but frustrating none the less. If you find a solution please keep us posted. Cheers! |

OK. Trouble is that I can't replicate it. Mind you, nothing surprises me from IE any more. Could it be skin related? Peter |

Good question! Our site is using a custom skin and containers. So I tried two standard DotNetNuke skins and containers: 1. Skin: DarkKnight - 3-Column-Standard-Menu, Container: DarkKnight - PageTitle_Red. 2. Skin: MinimalEntropy - index, Container: MinimalEntropy - Title_Red Both combinations exhibit the same problem as our custom skin. Also, the DotNetNuke Page Settings popup dialog (which operates similarly to the DMX Properties dialog) closes without problem on all three combinations. If you think it would help the debugging, we could get you access to our website, but it is live and we don't want to destabilize it if at all possible. |

Hi Larry, I'm using your #1 combination with DMX 6.1.3 and on IE9/Standards and it closes the popup. Peter |

OK. I know these things are hard to debug if you can't reproduce the problem. It's still an issue for us (and also seen by Stefan Lamontagne, above). But for now we have a work-around. If anyone figures out a solution, please let us know. Onward! Larry |
