Hi,

Currently we have issue in our Document Exchange Professional ver. 5. When we try to do “Open in Windows Explorer” in one of our folders, it just doesn’t do anything. We also try to open the WebDAV URL directly from a Windows explorer, but it opens up the Internet Explorer browser, and it gives us “HTTP 405 Method not Allowed” error message on the browser. We have also checked the WebDAV in our IIS, and it is already enabled. And, the reason that we complain about this issue is that we need to move all of our files/folders from our Document Exchange Professional for backup purposes. And, we have hundreds of files/folders inside this module, which it will be impossible to move them one-by-one manually. So, we also wonder whether there is any tool in Bring2Mind that we can use to retrieve all of our files/folders easily? Or, how do we fix the “Open in Windows Explorer” feature?

Thanks so much in advance for the helps!

Hi Yonathan,

To get WebDAV to work you will need to disable IIS’s inbuilt WebDAV as it will block access to DMX’s WebDAV. But that should have been done by DMX already if you’re on IIS 7. Furthermore you will need to use a tool like Fiddler to drill down to find out what is going on. There is a pinned post in the WebDAV forum that points to some resources.

Regarding mass import: there is also the built in import in DMX. Create a folder and you can opt to import to that folder from a drive on the server itself. This is generally the fastest way to import content to DMX in a one-time way. It is different if you need to keep doing this again and again.
