I found where to alter the templates. I like the look of the simple "Search Results" template view but I want it to display a message to users if nothing was found. I can't figure-out how to do that; I see where you can do conditions but I don't see how to test whether any items were found.

Good question. I'm not sure that is possible. There is no property for nr of results. So you can't compare it to a value of 0 and then branch to a template file with the nice message. I'll make a note to see if this can be added.

Sorry, I spoke too soon. That didn't work. But I found a way that works which will be shown in 6.1.5's search results template.
