In the system there asre some very old files dating from 2009 and 2010.
Inside DMX they can be seen listed in the system structure
This is an accountant site and they are trying to recover some client tax submission made on october 2009, the file is showed in the files panel. Then when doing click on the name of the file the following message appears:
"A critical error has ocurred.
Could not find file 'D:\Domains\alf.com.mx\wwwroot\Portals\0\DMX\file_20100202_172720_KCRDzb_0.resources'.
If I look for this file through the FTP connection is see it does not exist
I even looked in the graveyard directory but its hard to find the exact equivalent I found no 172720 similar named files.
The account is going through an audit and needs to prof¿duce printed copies of the missing files.
What should we do?

Forgot to add the configuration:
DNN 04.08.04
DMX 05.01.01

It looks like the document has been deleted from the DMX respository. Note DMX will not do this itself unless also removing the record from the database. Somehow some external process deleted that file. The only hope is to go to some older backup to see if you can still get at that file.

Hi Peter
Thank you very much for your kind suggestion
One more question about this..
If I setup a localhost site and restore an old backup set of files, lets say hopefully I find the missing resource files (like 'D:\Domains\alf.com.mx\wwwroot\Portals\0\DMX\file_20100202_172720_KCRDzb_0.resources'. ) and I am able to "See" the missing documents
Can I copy those to the online server and thats it?
or
should I extarct the pdf files and upload those to the server?
What is better?
Regards
Jose
What is the current price of an upgrade from ver 5.01.01 to the current version?

Hi Jose,
Yes, you can copy in any old backuped file to the DMX repository. They're guaranteed to be unique. Even for different versions of a document.
