Hi Peter, I've read through the helpful How To Setup iFilters post that Leith Tussing wrote, as well as the accompanying posts in that thread. I just want to verify that if I use Amazon S3 storage and need content search for PDF files, I must setup the Lucene implementation using the Adobe PDF iFilter 9 and not the latest PDF iFilter versions from Adobe. Has there been any other work-arounds established? Is there any other method to providing PDF content search? Thanks! -jed |

Sorry, I should have added that my environment is DNN 7.0.5, DMX 6.1.5, 64-bit Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1, and SQL Server 2008. Thanks, -jed |

Hi Jed, There are no other known issues, no. Where the documents are stored is irrelevant because DMX parses the document upon upload. So you'll need to reindex when you make a change to the configuration. That will retrieve the document from storage and attempt to index it again. Peter |
