DMX6.4.1/Win2012R2/DNN8.0.4/ASP.NET 4.6 I'm in Trial Mode and I can't seem to index a word document. TXT Files index just fine. I downloaded and ran Luke and the TXT fiels show "contents", but the Word Doc does not. The Windows Indexing Service is installed and Word iFilter is there and set to index contents. The file permisssions for AppPool is set to Modify for all folders including the Lucene folder. Permisssions on the Host Page are: ReflectionPermission, WebPermission, AspNetHostingPermission What else can I check?

Follow Up: I uploaded a PDF and it indexed and is searchable. MS Word Documents are still not indexing.

Another Follow up: It turns out that .DOCX and PDF files get indexed, just not older .DOC files. I can see in the Windows Index that the DOC and DOCX file types are separate so that might explain part of this. So, it would seem to be a problem with the Windows filter. I'm not sure if this will be a problem for my client, but would still like to know why the DOC file filter doesn't work.
