Site search error and Folder sizes 4539 5
Started by Chrickel
Hi Peter, We added DMX search to site search and regularily encounter a strange error: When (site-)searching for any string which is definitely in the DMX repository, randomly (but very often) get the error message 'Conversion from type 'DBNull' to type 'Long' is not valid.' in the search results page and no result shows up. Searching in DMX works fine then. I've investigated quite a lot on this and now I'm able to reproduce this error: It only occurs when Folder sizes are not correct...

Peter,
I am curious if you've had any experinece with Google Mini or Google Search Appliance and DMX.&160; It would appear that I am being forced into making a Google Mini or Google Search Appliance (GSA) box work within our enviornment.&160; Do you know if the either of these two devices will work and keep document security in place&160; I&160;know the Lucene search provider that comes with DMX will and haven't had much time to play with the other search providers that come with DMX.&160...

search not working 5456 6
Started by Gus
Hi
The search is not working on one of our sites. It's a DNN 4.9.x site with DMX&160;5.02.02.&160; It's set up with the default seach provider (lucene).
I'm not sure if it never worked since we moved the site to a dedicated server or if it has stopped working for some other reason.
Any ideas what might be going on or how I can drill down
thanks
Gus

PDF Search support in Windows 2008 R2 64 bit 6762 3
Started by Info Lab
Do you have any instruction to enable pdf support in Windows 2008 R2 64 bit
First I think it's the same with steps to enable pdf in windows 7 64 bit:
1. Download and install the adobe PDF&160;IFilter version 9 for 64 bit.
2. Register the path to adobe PDF&160;IFilter folder in PATH environment variables.
But when I tried the same steps in windows 2008 R2 64 bit, I still cannot search the PDF&160;document.

Last Search Result appearing 4199 2
Started by danc
I've added the DMX search results to the DNN search by adding the search.ascx to the page. First, when I search using something like 'Beetle Kill', the results look correct. Then if I do a second search like 'Intelligence', the search results for DNN appear fine, but the DMX search results still show the results for 'Beetle Kill'.
&160;
I'm using the Lucense Search provider. Any ideas

Old stuff - fine. &160;New stuff &160;Not so much.

Advanced Search 4393 1
Started by Diego
Assume these 2 search scenario:
Simple search
Advanced search title contents (AND)
In the first case the expected results is all entries that has the keywork on title or in contents. That case works fine.
In the second case the expected results is all entries that have the keyword on entry title and the keywork on contents of file. In that case the result contains entry without keyword in title, but the same query on Luke works fine.
Any ideas
