German Umlaute > Problem after 'Zip and Download' 2709 3

Hello, I'm using Dnn 6.01.03 and DMX 5.3.8. I have a problem with the special characters (äöü) in filenames after using 'Zip and Download'. The files are downloaded, but the characters are not correct. Can I specify the encoding or how can I solve this problem Any ideas Thanks.

Hi I can ADD a new text file, but I cannot upload any other form of file, as the upload edit area (under FILE tab) is blank DNN 5.2.3, Document Exchange 6.0.0 trial version Confirmed database ok and changed webconfig as page16 on instructions. webconfig change caused a critical error around the 2 lines for and regarding ComponentArtUploadModule (***see below***) When I commented them out, webconfig worked again, but still couldnt see any way of uploading new file. Hi folks, I spent a bit of time this morning futzing around with Doc Exchange at a clients request to increase the vertical size of the control. After much experimentation I discovered that adjusting the height of the Splitter in /DesktopModules/Bring2Mind/DMX/Viewcollections.ascx as well as the height of the .vw-con-l and .vw-con-r in the /DesktopModules/Bring2Mind/DMX/module.css file seems to do the trick. Context menus do not show properly throughout DMX module. When I right-click on the file or the folder, I sometimes get the Internet Explorer's context menu on top of the DMX's one and sometimes they show up beside each other. There is no consistency in how they appear. We currently use Document Exchange Professional 4.2.1 with DNN 4.8.2. Trying to upgrade to the newest DNN and DMX. Im having some serious issues managing categories. The drag & drop method simply doesn't work and when it does it's not precise.. Often moving categories to the wrong parent. This is going to be very frustrating for my end users but more importantly there doesn't seem to be an alternative. Ie; there's no up, down, left right buttons. When I click on Edit Permissions for a folder the check boxes for the built in DNN Administrators group are disabled for View, Edit and Add. All ofther groups have the check boxes enabled. This occurs on all folders that I check permissions on. Is there a way to enable those check boxes

So I add a directory to my DMX instance, and all the files are available to view etc. But, an additional file is also there 'thumbs.db'. On checking via Windows Explorer, this in fact is a hidden file. How can I tell DMX not to show certain files/extensions Or do I have to manually delete these files myself via the DMX front end Thanks in advance.

Do you have a demo where i can see how the documents can be viewed in a browser window. I've installed the trial version but i cant get anything to open up inside a browser. Hi guys, I'm using 'Bring2mind.DMX_06.00.02' and I modified the files: ViewCollection.html and Entry.html, to change the template of visualization. the code that I added in first file is: Testata while in the second one (Entry.html) is: &91;entry:att2&93; where 'att2' is the key of the custom's attribute. Hi, I have just uploaded the same file with the same name into the same folder. I would expect this to overwrite the existing file and update the version number (or notify the users that the same file exists) but the system uploads the duplicate file. Is it possible the change this in the settings Thanks, Mike.

Hi, Does anyone know how to change the URL in the email notifications to use 'https://' instead of 'http://' as the site I am using DMX on is only accessible on secure HTTP I have SSL enabled in DotNetNuke and the page is set as secure but the emails sent from DMX use non-secure http and therefore do not work. Peter, I am running 6.0.2. I have the module settings set for a 'Root Folder for module' which points to a folder with approx 165 pdf files. This is the only module on the page. As the page loads IE 8 gives me the wonderful 'Stop running this script' blah, blah, blah message. When I click 'No' to the message the document library loads just fine. I really like having the document results on the same page as general site results but find that the excerpt length for each document is rather long. Is there an easy way to reduce the size of the document excerpt size when the module is in search mode I can see how to remove it altogether in the Search.aspx control but not how the length can be set Thanks in advance.

Hi Peter, Using DMX PRO with great success, over 7000 users! I am looking at refining some of the notifications sent out, I am still using 05.03.09 Is there a way to filter out the notifications for certain type. IE I do not want to send email notifications when a collection.syncfolder (or really any type of collection) is updated, only documents. Any ideas Thanks! Greg

We have had DMX installed for a few years now. My understanding is that our document admin has been soft deleting files. Recently a user pulled up a previously soft deleted file that came up in a search. (We are using Google site search) They went in and deleted the file and the issue for that file was resolved. What we would like to do is go ahead and remove(Hard Delete) all of the soft deleted files. Is there a method available to do this in batch Thanks

We're running DNN 5.6.2 with Document Exchange 5.3.7. While both the site and module respond quickly as you move around the pages and folders, when you click the download button to download a file, it takes over 20 seconds before the download initiates. Any ideas what might cause the delay and how we can improve the response time Thanks.

I feel like I'm VERY close to having this figured out, but can't get this last peice of the puzzle figured out.&160; In using DMX 5.2.2 on a DNN 4.8.4 install.
I'm using Template View trying to add colums for Custom Attributes that we have defined.&160; I've looked in the database and found that the ID for my desired attribute is 'att124'.&160; I can correctly get the actual data to display in the Item Template when I add the following line:
