Trying to Understand Customized Templates 2651 1

I've worked with many modules and pretty good about figuring them out....I'm trying to understand customized Templates for DMX... I have read the documentation however, i'm unable get the desired results i'm looking for. For example, i clicked edit template... I try editing some items and hit update... sometimes i see a change and sometimes nothing happens.... and sometimes i'll go back to the edit templates and no&160; and my original edit is set back to default.
Could someone point me in the...

DMX&160;Version:&160;05.00.05,&160;DNN Version: 04.09.00
In our system we have our DMX&160;users split into Editors (View/Add/Edit) and Approvers (View/Add/Edit/Approve)&160;roles.
We've found that when an Editor goes into DMX and deletes an approved document, it disspears from any flexlist or shortlists that were pointing to that folder, as well as from the main DMX&160;module, this happens immediately.
So the document is being deleted by someone who doesn't have Approver permissions a...

Folder and Document menus will not open 3018 3

Peter,
I am seeing some strange behavior with the drop-down 'click-to-open' document menu. On some documents I can right click and the menu opens and on other documents the menu does not open but I see a small dot or image on the document icon This behavior is happening on a number of documents and I have tested this on a number of computers with same result.
I am using Document Exchange Professional 5.2.2 and DNN 5.1.4 (this portal was upgraded from DNN 4.8).

Download stops half way when doubleclicked 2777 1

I double click the file, it starts to download and stops about 1/3 the way. &160;The file is 2.5 megs, so I'm not sure if that's the issue.
if I mail me, or download file in the right click menu, I get the doc no problem.&160;
Are there any restrictions that I should know about

DMX 5.2.2 in TemplateView on DNN 5.2.1 (54).
If logged in as Superuser to the root of the DMX library, 'Add New'&160;is there, as is the whole set of UI icons for DMX administration:
If logged in as Admin to the root of the DMX library, they're not showing up:
Is there a fix/workaround It seems like something breaks everytime we upgrade DMX and the client reminds me EVERY&160;time&160;:-(.

Accessing Documents with other modules 2917 1

Peter,
I want other modules to access the files in my portal of which is being control by document exchange.&160;I want to get around the fact that Document Exchange assumes that no other program accesses/changes these files and it will do all it can to prevent unauthorized access.&160; I want to be able to use the links modules and other to create links to the files that DMX is managing.&160;&160; How do I&160;do this

Users Can Not Add Files or Folders 3215 4

I have a new DMX module, only one inthe portal. No edits done to the config other than add edit permissions to the module for the users.
The first folder under the root has View/Add/Edit permissions.
The user logs in and tries to add a new item. On the third screen the user is automatically sent to the portal login page every single time.
Essentially users can not add files to the portals unless they are administrators.

It seems that when I add a new file to a folder the Approve functionality is working fine.&160; I added the file as Administrator and Administrator does not have Approve access.&160; It seems that when I upload a new version the Approve checkbox is automatically checked even though the role that is adding it does not have Approve rights.&160; If you miss that checkbox the file is released as approved and circumvents the approval workflow.&160; Is this just happeneing because I am log...
