Backup & Restore solutions? 3397 3
Started by Cape Fear Web Masters
OK, after a two weeks of upset customers I'm starting to realize that there are some inherent flaws in how I've configured DMX to store files.&160; Lets assume the following.
DMX is installed, WebDav is enabled and there are 4,000 folders containing 50,000 individual files, all are supposed to be protected by DNN authentiation (no public access).&160; The site is hosted on an internet accessable server. Activity on this site is very high with folders/files changing almost by the minute.

Public Folder store 2949 1
Started by lowwalker
Anyone know if it is possible to mount an exchange 2003 set of folders in DMX 5 I am just starting to research and looking for an easy front end for a file server, however a large amount of email is collected in the folder store that would be associated with the files.
Thanks for any replies :)&160;

URL link to document has incorrect TABID 3199 2
Started by Michael Hamlett

I am currently evaluating your DMX Doc exchange.
&160;
I am trying to get the search results to work properly.
I added the DMX module to the search results page.
I changed to Search.aspx as per an entry in the forum.
&160;
All is good so far
&160;
I can even get a good search results list to appear showing documents I am authorized to.
&160;
However the link to the document is wrong.
It is somewhat my fault.
I added a DMX module to tabid 93 and synced folders to create th...

Mail Me document links redirect to home page 4225 4
Started by Gus
Hi
I have an issue where a user uses the Mail Me feature to send themselves a document link.
The link comes through something like this:-
http://www.amchameu.eu/Default.aspxCommand=Core_Download&tabid=165&EntryId=5147
When they are logged in the document downloads fine and there is no problem.
However, when they are not logged in and click the link they are not sent to the login page. They are redirected to the home page which causes all manner of confusion to the hapless users.

run script failure 4263 4
Started by Eric Swanzey
Hi Peter,
This is DMX 5.2.2 on DNN 5.2.2.
When trying to run 'Rename Extensions To Original,' it bombs with the following thrown to the log 'Could not load file or assembly 'BRING2MIND.DNN.MODULES.DMX.FILESTORAGEPROVIDER' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.'
If that's a reference to a dll, it's not in the bin.
Could you shed some light on this
Thanks,
Eric

Any way to Log deletions? 4121 0

Is there anyway to log delete's or hard deletes when done via WebDav or web&160;
We had a client with a bunch of missing folders/contents today and I&160;can see them in the grayeard but can't find any info in the SQL tables on those Entry ID's and the .config associated with it doens't contain the user's info that torched `em.

Graveyard & Recycle Bin - not needed 4944 3
Started by Christian Rommel
I have learned that DMX&160;has implemented a hard-coded Recycle&160;Bin and so-called 'Graveyard'.
By manually preparing view templates I could set up a work-around for to bypass the Recycle Bin.
But today, I realized that there is this 'Graveyard'&160;filling my webspace with anything ever stored via DMX. From my point of view - sorry if bothering - this is totally useless. At least since it is a hard coded feature.
So&160;how can be disabled the graveyard

Sync Folders and DMX 3519 1
Started by James VanDusen
We are looking to simulate in theory a Sharepoint website in that we wish to place files from windows normally into a SyncFolder location and it appears in DMX.
This works well...
However we also need to externally place files from DMX into those same locations (if a sales team is working offsite etc) and it doesnt appear to do this. It rather places the files under DMX in the root under the Document Exchange root and also shows the resource file and the PDF or whatever the raw file name it.&...

Hi Peter

I can download the file in question without problems when logged in.

Anonymous download via direct link 4797 3

I have set up DMX to run for a group of registered users. The users can upload files to the site after they have authenticated in DNN. The page containing DMX is visible only to registered users.
Now I&160;want to share direct download links to unregistered users. They shall have direct download access to single files via the http-link without opening DMX and neither logging in at DNN.
How is it accomplished
Thanks
