Importing Hangs 3585 1

I am currently using the trial version of DMX 5.&160; Importing a folder looks like it is going to work but stops after the 1st file is uploaded and then hangs.&160; No other files get loaded except the first.&160; Is this because I am using the trial version

Hi Peter,
Just getting started with DMX, and I was wondering if it is possible to have a custom attribute populated based on the User ID of the person uploading a file.&160;

I am using an additional module which allows users to upload files to their user profile. These files are stored somewhere in Portals/_pid/moduleName/files/_uid/. Is it possible to reference these folders in DMX Additionally, replace the uid with the username So when users upload files to their profile, they will be also available in DMX in a kind of 'My Documents' folder..

Hi,
I have 3 sub-folders on which only users in a specific role can&160;import documents &160;(this role has view, edit and add authrization on the folders). Since for every update these users might have to upload up to 2000 documents, I modified the import page with an additional option&160;which allows to specify document&160;categories and whether to replace the documents or not.
the problem I have is that the import menu option is only visible to administrators. Am I doing something wr...

Hi,
assuming that I keep the storage folder&160;in the default path (/Portals/0/DMX in my case), would it be enough to&160;put an&160;entry in the ropots.txt file&160;(i.e. Disallow: /portals/0/DMX) to stop search engines from indexing directly the repository file or it is better to move the repository out of the portal root I have protected documents that obviously have to be accessed only through DNN/DMX security.

I'm wondering if DMX will allow me to do this easily.
I would like to have a My Files page where each user can see their own personal files.&160; I would like the administrator to be able to see all of the files obviously, but have them categorized somehow by the user (a folder perhaps).&160; Is this feasible and how hard is it to implement&160; I am hoping I don't have to go in and set the permissions on a 1,000 different folders for each user.

Are there any special considerations that need to be made when placing DMX on a secure site&160; I recently discovered that if I use the 'Show Direct Link' option in DMX, that the link WORKS when the site is http, but Internet Explorer can not download the file if the link has https in it.&160; The error is actually that Internet Explorer can not download the file Download.aspx, which is strange considering that I'm trying to download a Word document.&160; Any suggestions
I'm using DMX 5.0...

I am using DMX 4.3 which has been upgraded from version 3.x.&160; The Document exchange folders and files have been ported over correctly.&160; However there is an issue editing the permissions on folders and files.&160;
Anytime I go it to edit the attributes of a folder or file, the Add / Approve check boxs are updatable, but not the View / Edit options--they are greyed out or readonly.&160; I have looked at the Permissions tables and the EntryPermissions exist the same way for Add / Appro...

Hi,
Actually an element can be approved by ANY user/group&160;that have the&160;authorization&160;to&160;approve the element, than when the first user approve the element, it's become avaiable&160;to all users. That's the normal workflow in a documental system.
But, we have a&160;special&160;need.&160;The element will be visible only if all 'approvers users' mark the element as approved and keep history of that.

We integrate a quality management system with DMX. The security/access control in the quality management system is role and context based, ie each user is assigned one or more roles (like DNN roles) in one or more contexts (contexts are organisational units).
We would like to apply the same access control in DMX.

Function 'Mail me' not working under https 3891 3

Hello Peter,
We use your module behind a secure url (https://). When we use the function 'Mail me' for a folder
we get a mail with a zip file with no files in it &160;and a link without https instead of http and therefore
it can be opened. Is this problem known Or can it be caused by the provider where our domain is hosted

Hey Guys,
Is there any way a DNN user role could be removed after a successful upload&160; We want to sell one-by-one video uploads, and had the idea to have them purchase and subscribe to a DNN user role through our cart, but would need a way for that role to be removed after the upload is completed so they wouldn't have access to upload multiple files.
Is there any way this could be done through DMX, or would you have any other suggestions on how this could be done

I would like to say this is a great product firstly and has saved our organisation thousands.
As the title suggests though, I would like to know if by Authorising the documents into DMX that there is a log file kept containing the details of who or what group did the authorising.
This is just so if we need to back track a document that had been checked and found to have a number of issues with the layout or quailty of the document submitted.
Please let me know if there already is such a facil...
