Hi, We are trying to use Sync Folders and experiencing some problems: - With the conflict resolution set to import, the deletes on the source path are not propagated to DMX - With the conflict resolution set to copy both ways, the deleted files on the source are propagated to DMX but the folder deletes are not. If we delete a folder on the source path, the import task reports the error: Could not find a part of the path instead of deleting the folder on DMX - Imported files have no type. ...

Hi I have a case of a broken folder: - When I click on it, the main window with the document-list won't stop loading. From then on, clicking on any other folder won't change anything, I have to reload the whole page containing DMX. A pragmatic solution would result in simply deleting the folder and recreating it. But how can I figure out/save all the containing documents Or which stored procedures could help me with that task Thx in advance Oliver

I'm running DNN 05.06.07 (7) and DMX FlexList 2.3.4. A few weeks ago I had to update a whole batch of PDFs which of course I simply edited, and reuploaded via FTP with the same file names, which replaced the old ones. Hello, How can I truncate/purge the DMX_Log table It's over 500.000 records which slows down and fills up my database. There appears to be a bug with the zip extract function, if you upload a zip file and tick the 'unzip' checkbox but not the 'use name as folder' checkbox, the items never appear in the document list.&160; The problem seems to be in the database as I have found entries where both the&160; 'collectionid' and 'path' is null.&160; The DMX version is 5.2.6 on DNN 5.2.3

The people in charge of using DMX in my client office say they cant find some files they uploaded a long time ago, like two years, they dont know how or when they dissapeared and dont reckkon deleting them intentionally. What do you recoomend doing in this situation The hosting provider can set up a temporary site to restore a backup set made one year ago if necesssary and I keep in amazon a set of backup files of the site daing two years ago or more. I wish to upload a huge amount of files. I'm also wanting to give each file unique attributes such as a persons first and last name along with an ID number. Is it possible to do that on the upload or will I have to upload the files and then write some sort of stored procedure to apply those attributes to each file I've been looking at the datatables and I'm not sure how I access the files or their locations and attributes. DNN: 06.02.02 DMX: 6.04 Checking 'View' for unverified users in the file permissions (attributes) settings seems to have no affect, users who are not logged in can still not see the file. It seems that only by checking all users can I make a file visible to non-logged in users. I'd like to create a file that is only visible to non-logged in users, but not to general registered users. Hi Peter, I'm not sure how this issue came to pass. In short, last week, we lost the ability to unify or access permissions on subfolders and files in a particular folder in the root Doc Exchange folder. I'm thinking one of our support admins altered permissions somehow and propagated the problem throughout this root folder. Strangely, the subfolders/files don't even appear now to a non-administrator. I have tried to unify permissions as the site admin and also in my own admin-enabled...

Hello Peter, I have got problems when using 'unify permissiosn on children' functionality. My versions are 06.02.01 for DNN and 6.0.4 for DMX. Hi Peter, I just upgraded from DMX version 3.5.6 to 6.0.4 (Trial). Everything was working great as a Host user but somehow I discovered that all folder permissions are now gone. Now only Administrator has Edit/View/Add permission. All other role permissions are gone. Please help! Thanks! Sam

Resources files being created with 2GB file size 2988 3

We have an old DMX installation that keeps eating up disk space. It would appear that it's creating multiple *.resources files that have a file size of approximately 2GB. These files don't appear to have entries in the dmx_entries table so I don't believe its due to any of the synced folders containing such large files. In total the 2 synced folders in this installtion only contained 64GB of files, yet this morning the DMX repository contained 270GB. Any idea what is going on

I am currently experienceing a problem when attempting to soft delete a file from DMX. When I click on a file to soft delete, DMX appears to try to delete the file but it is never marked as deleted in the database. Other users have experienced this issue and they all have edit permissions on the folder that the file is located in. I checked and folders are set to unify permissions on children. Hi, Could you tell me how long security credentials are cached for, or whether there is a way to manually refresh the cache I have a site where users are able to change their user roles through a custom interface, which works initially but when they make further changes, the documents they can see don't change in DMX. If the site is restarted, users are able to see the correct documents, and I saw in the forum that the credentials are cached. Thanks

Hi, I have a problem with updating file in my DMX module 5.3.9. In the DMX module,I am using source leading setting for file sync folder. If it is a new file in that folder and run script, module works fine. The file got uploaded to the site. But if I made changes to the document and try to upload to the site again with the script, it doesn't see the file has been modified at all.
