Cant upload 65 MB file 2958 1
Started by Eric Stone
Hi I am getting a problem where we get a 404 error when trying to upload a ppt file that is 65 MB. I have changed the file size to allow 80 MB files in the web.config, though we still get the error. The error happens in about 15 seconds so I know its not a timeout issue. We are using IIS 7 and DMX v5.02.09 (DNN v4.09.05) Any ideas Thank you

After uploading a file or two, I get a: Could not find file 'C:\inetpub\www...(removed)...\DMX\Upload\20120723114751_47013f8104ab491f8686f3e1f595dd1f.resources'. After looking in that directory I've either seen nothing or a differently named .resources file. Any ideas Running DNN 6.2.1 Community DMX 6.0.3 Windows Server 2008 Standard

SIte Groups 2860 1

We use site Groups so that we can share users, documents, etc among multiple sites. We are finding some limitations with the Core Document library. How does your product behave in site groups Can the same library be shared in different portals with different starting points (root Folders) in each instance of the module.

Users cannot see subfolders unless granted rights to parent folder 4238 3
Started by Kate
I have a parent folder with subfolders containing documents that are proprietary. Each user has been granted access to their own folder containing proprietary documents. However, when they go into the document library they don't see those folders. They only see them if I also grant them access to the parent folder. I don't want to do that. They don't need to see the parent folder and it also seems to me to be a security risk--what if someone inadvertently checks 'Unify Permi...

Run script for individual portal 2774 4
Started by justin
Hi, My question here is if DMX able to run script for each individual portal of DNN site. My current setting of DMX sync folders would create a lot of network traffic. It causes a bit problem for me. Current schedule task takes 20 minutes to sync all folders. I wish to run script for each portal that has file changes. I hope this makes a bit sense to you. Thanks.

RSS Feed Security 2992 1
Started by Han
HI, Peter: We have enabled all of the docs in a DMX instance to be public (viewable to all users) docs so that the RSS feed can show direct download links without authentication for a client. This is certainly not a secure solution for sensitive documents, which led me to read your documentation on RSS: 'It is important to realize that DMX will never serve out protected content to unauthorized users. As at all levels there is a WYSIWYG philosophy, DMX will not serve out metadata of protect...

Question about email encryption 2623 1
Started by jellsworth
Good morning- I have been asked to find out how DMX handles file encryption when emailing files. There is a good chance we would want to be able to use DMX to handle documents containing client-sensitive information such as date of birth, social security numbers, other HIPAA data for our Medicaid division, adoption information for our child welfare division, etc. When we use Outlook for email, it scans all attachements for sensitivie information and then sends it through an encryption process, ...

Virus scanning on document uploads 2496 1

I have also been asked to find out what type of protection is offered as far as security scanning to check documents for viruses before they are uploaded to DMX This of course would not be a problem for staff when uploading, but if we allow people outside our organization to upload documents, how does DMX protect your DNN installation from viruses Thanks! Upload of ppt or pptx fails (but not in File Manager!) 2658 3
Started by pssp.sven
Hello, we have a strange problem regarding the uploads of ppt or pptx files. The upload works, when we use the file manager, but fails using the upload of DMX. Another not so important thing is, that the progress bar of the upload immediatly shows 2 MB and then needs some time to proceed. But - as already said - this is not really important or anyoing. Any help is much appriciated to get the upload of ppt and pptx files working! Thanks in advance, Sven

How to prevent one user accidentally overwriting a later version 2456 1
Started by gdiffey
It's just this document management check-in/check-out process that is foxing me and while I have no doubts it can do it (after all the sales information says so!!!!), this is critical to our use of the module, to prevent one user accidentally overwriting a later version of another user, so your guidance will be very gratefully received.
