Hi,
I have found a strange issue that took me a while to correct.&160; Perhaps a waring in the help would be in order although I did look for one.&160; This is with the current version (05.00.03)
If you setup a goup to have view/edit/add and also approve permissions but then you also check the box for approve and permissions only by admin yuo get some strange results.

Hello, We're wondering if Bring2Mind would support a 'content staging' mode for documents upload The purpose would be to allow users to upload their documents on an another server than the production one and then synchronize them behind the scene. A user is member of a group with view, edit and add permisssions to folder A.
The user is not allowed to edit ADD attributes on folder A. The add permission column is greyed out.
When the user adds a folder B in folder A, the user cannot edit the add permissions on folder B. The add permission column is greyed out.

I am unable to edit the attributes of a folder. I am logging in as Administrator but cannot see the Edit Attributes option when I right click the folder. With the other folders I am able to perform a right click and select Edit Attributes. Any help with this!!

I am trying to give one of my users permissions to Edit the contents of a folder. From my understanding, I have view edit add approve checked for admin for all users I have view checked n and for the user i mentioned i have view edit and add checked. After I hit a finish, I now see a red colored STOP icon beside the folder and my user is unable to view the folder. How do I give someone the permissions to add files to a folder What does the STOP icon signify

I have a DMX installation that is growing to large to be stored locally and I'm considering changing the storage provider to the S3 Provider. I see there is a script that in the Control Panel (Move Old Content To New Storage Provider). Does this script remap the items in the database as well as physically send the DMX folder/file structure to an S3 bucket, or should the folders/files be moved prior to running the script. I have a couple of smaller network shares that I am syncing. When I use the script in the admin menu to 'Synchronize all SyncFolders in Portal' it works well, but it's a manual process. I want to use the scheduled task 'DMX Document Mgmt synch' which I have set to run every 6 hours, but it always throws errors. 'Could not copy \\path to file\file name DMX entry xxxx' (where xxxx is the entry ID) Does anyone know why this is happening or how to fix it Thanks!

Is it possible for DMX to present a list of items, but enforce security against the download of those same items In other words, everyone can see a list of DMX docs, but need to login to actually view or download any of them. I'm not finding any information on what seems like a common need.

Hi Peter, We are aggain seeing deadlocks in the database and they all seem to occur because the stored proc DMX_RemoveOldUserNotifications is running simultaneously. We are trying to find out where this stored proc is called from, or what triggers it. Can you please help and let me know what causes this stored proc to run. Thanks, Anitha

Hi Peter,
I want to sync a huge folder which is located on a server in a different domain than the DNN-Server is. (In fact, our american partners have setup a server in our ESX environment. This virtual server is connected through VPN to the USA. On this server their main share is replicated through DFS).
Some of our (local domain) accounts are trusted in their domain, also a new AD-user I created for exactly the reason aof syncing folders.

Hi Peter! Loving the new module, got it installed but still have a few questions, especially concerning the repository. We are planning to use DMX on our Intranet, and I have several different locations on the Intranet that are NOT under the same physical path. They are all on the same physical SERVER, but in many folders. Am I correct in assuming there is only ONE (1) repository Or is there a way that I can point each folder in DMX to a specific folder via UNC path

Is this possible I have a set of dynamic pages that display content based on the user's role. I want them to have a file sharing capability across their role/group so that all users in Role 1 can see all files in Role 1 but no files for Role 2. Ideally I'd like each role/group to have their own subdirectory (so that I can use the synchronize function).
