I am curious, I started to see this issue the other day on my local machine. I had to switch from port 80 to port 8000 because my ISP is blocking port 80 incoming. Is there a way to make WebDav work over a port other then port 80 Is this even the culprit this issue I'm running a newly installed DNN 4.08, and and DMX 4.02. WE just upgraded DMX installation from DMX3 to DMX 4.06. For the sites who are setup as child portal but have their own domain, "Open in Windows Explorer" works fine. For the sites who have been set up as a child portal with a sub web like http://myportal.com/childpoortal, "Open in Windows Explorer" opens a blank window. Is there a known issue with child portals and DMX 4

For some time we are using version 3 of the document exchange module without much problems. We also tried the new version 4. Unfortunately we&160;are running&160;into problems regarding opening files in word. As far as I understand now, this has to do with the webDAV activex.
We need to advise this module to our customers and need to inform them about the configuration. As I understand it correctly from the postings here, webDAV has multiple issues related to opening documents, Vista, and spe...

Odd url for WebDAV causing error? 4567 8
Started by Thierry Lach
We're trying to get DMX 4.1 running on a DNN 4.6.2 installation.
We do not have DNN installed at the "root" of the url, rather we are accessing it through a url http://oursite.com/dnn462
When we try to "Open in Word" on a Word Document file in DMX, we get a runtime error.
Using the script debugger, we see that it tries to access the file using the url http://oursite.com/dnn462/dnn462/dmxdav.axd/Subdirectory/TestDocument.doc. Note that the folder name is included...

DMX on Intranet 3884 1
Started by Steve
I'm not sure if WebDav is the issue, but here goes:
We have a DNN (4.8) intranet that has experienced no problems at all. DMX 4 installed just fine, and I confirmed the installation per the installation documentation. One strange thing did happen yesterday - after I first put a DMX module on a page and logged out, my home page showed an error regarding AJAX script manager. After doing some research, I restarted the DNN application (Host, Settings) and all seemed fine.
Today, however, something...

Web Dav not working (at all) 4925 3

Hi,
I recently installed the trial version of DMX 4.01 on a development site to test the functionality. I've tested both in Server 2003 and Vista and with IE6 and IE7 and have reviewed the forums for a similar p...

Webdav peculiarities 8339 8
Started by Peter Donker
Here's something you might not know: the Windows explorer is a different WebDAV client (i.e. implementation) than the Word WebDAV client. During development we came across several cases where the client software behaved differently. For example: if you go to Network Places (XP) and choose 'Add Network Resource' and type in 'http://myserver/dmxdav.axd/' you'll get a Windows Explorer window with a regular folder icon and '\\myserver\dmxdav.axd'. Needless to say this doesn't lead anywhere. We need ...
