Unable to add new folders 5862 5

Peter:
We have been running DMX v3.04.07 for about 6 months, not a hitch.
Logged in as host or administrator account lately and we are now receiving this error when adding a new folder.

Excessive Emails Generated by Subscription Service 3868 3

I currently use version 3.4.10.
I like the concept of a subscription service for DMX. I do not like how it currently generates a million emails when I do ordinary maintenance tasks.
Example: I subscribed to a folder in DMX. Then I started moving documents around, slightly modifying the names of files, assigning files to additional categories, updating the security for files, adding keywords, adding remarks, deleting files, undeleting files, marking items as private, etc... by...

Is this possible: Group A cannot see Group B's folders 3731 2

Is this possible:
I have one web site in which I have two clients that I deliver the same services to.
I would like to add document colaboration to the site.
I found Document Exchange 3 as a possible solution. But I am curious if I can set it up such that users in group A, do not know about user's in group B's documents.

I have a collection of about 70 folders with a structure of 9 subfolders consistant between each.
Currently looks like:
FOLDER
SUBFOLDER A
SUBFOLDER S
Each of these subfolders needs a _ added to the beginning of the folder name.
FOLDER
01_SUBFOLDER S
02_SUBFOLDER...

I was happy to make the upgrade to DNN4.5.3 and get the new feature for adding an individual user to the "edit" permissions without the need to create a security role. This is not available, however, when assigning permissions to files & folders within DMX. Is this a setting that I'm missing or is it not possible in DMX

Hi Peter,
We've had DMX (3.04.04) installed for over a year without incident until last Friday. For some reason our users are losing their permissions. As the admin, when I try to edit the folder permissions, all changes are ignored and the permissions are reset so that only the admin has edit capabilities. I also tried using the "Reset Permissions on All Children" to no avail. Unfortunately, we now have thousands of files that cannot be main...

Peter,
With DMX3 current version, is there a way to disable the subscription checkbox appearing next to collections in the display I want files only to be subscribed to, not colections.
The reason is that when next to collections, it causes a great deal of confusion. People sunscribe to a root level collection thinking they'll get notified for every revision/addition in the library and get nothing.

I wrote some css to override DMX_breadcrumbs and worked on ViewCollection. The change did not work on ViewCategory. It appears it is using the class "CommandButton" in the rendered HTML rather than "DMX_breadcrumbs".

Hello,
I have upgraded some of my sites to DNN 4.5.1
Since then, whenever, I upload a document into DMX, whether it is a new document, or a new version of an existing one, I get a
A critical error has occurred.
Object reference not set to an instance of an object
I have tried upgrading DMX to the latest patch (3.04.09) and that does not seem to fix it.
The document however, DOES, get uploaded properly - so I do not know :

When activaiting subscription on folders and documents in the DMX-module, we assume the DMX is supposed to send an e-mail to subscribers when changes and updates occur
Our DMX is unfortunately failing in this respect.
We are running DMX v. 03.04.07, on a DNN 3.2.2 installation. I have tested two different SMTP servers, and while the regular DNN e-mail notification is working flawless, the DMX is "gracefully" failing.

Is there a way to enable moderation for certain collections / files but not all
Specifically, I am looking for a way to have some collections that can be posted to without approval, but also maintain some collections as moderated where workflow is required. At first glance, it appears that the entire root collection is etiher enabled for moderation or is not.

Occasionally, when emailing someone a direct link to a document in DMX, the root collection is displayed instead of the specific document. This seems to be a timing issue. If you already have a browser open with the DNN site loaded, it will usually display the document correctly. If the browser has to open, then open the site, then display the document, it will usually display the root collection. Does anyone have any ideas

Product information seems a little misleading and I am somewhat dissappointed in the ease of adding custom attributes to the display listings for collections and categories. Please provide more detailed instructions and/or new stored procedures for adding this functionality. It is imperative in my installation that I have this feature working.
You should be more forthright in your documentation for this module for furture reference.

I am currently testing upgrade from dnn 3.3.7 to using dnn version 4.4.1 and have also updated dmx from 3.4.7 to 3.4.9 and I am getting the following error message.
A critical error has occurred.A field or property with the name 'Number' was not found on the selected data source
This is one of the custom attributes I setup when first using DMX. Please help as I cannot do upgrade without fixing this problem

Is there a way of extracting statistics of document usage apart from viewing each individual document and log file. My manager would like statistics on documents that are not being downloaded (or being used on very litte occasions or for a certain time) as they are having a review to see which documents can be deleted from system.

I have just successfully upgraded to DMX 3.4.8 and also upgraded Shortlist to 1.1.4. The patch on Snowcovered said to see the versions text file for info on what has changed. Where do I find this file I don't see it in the ZIP that I downloaded and I haven't found it on this site.

I read through the UI forums for how to best add custom attributes in the ColumnList.Text field in for example the ViewCollection.ascx.resx resource. I am finding contradicting statements. The Administrator's Manual says that the 'Name/Identifier' (i.e. first) column can be 'One of the names of custom attributes' but in some posts I read that this cannot be done since it is not a column of the DMX_Entries table. The message I am getting is:
