Can the file folder in What's New be made into a hotlink? 3626 1

I'll apologize upfront for my severe lack of knowledge. I'm pretty green in comparison to most of you in regards to DNN and advanced configuration of modules.
That being said, I have a client using DMX who sent me the following query:
Here’s a question for you – can the “what’s new” be configured so
that the file folder is a hot link too – that way you can see the other files
associated with it and also see the folder structure to know its context.

Private file from adamistrator to registered user 3485 1

Is there any way to allow an administrator to add a file for a specific registered user, not for a whole group I am having a hard time trying to figure what to do, and if it is possible.
I know that the reverse works fine. ( A user uploads a private file, both the admisinstrator and the user can see it)

Peter,Thought you might want to know.I was doing a scripted backup/restore on an installation that runs DMX 3.4.7 (net 2), and it flags the SPROC DMX_FindAttributesByName as bad because of a reference to invalid column name 'Explanation'.
This DMX was an upgrade from the net1.1 version to net2, but not sure that matters.

Peter,I like the pdf-in-place happening on your site at /Modules/DocumentExchange3Pro/Manual/tabid/153/Default.aspx, and also like how pdf-in-place DOESN'T happen in the Downloads area.
This is pretty close to what I am looking to implement on an existing site.
Is it done with out-of-the-box DMX and maybe a pdf-viewer addon, or is there more to the story

Sorry for the brain freeze Peter, but...
I have an existing collection with lots of son/daughter collections inside it. I'm trying to enable a new role to be able to add/edit items in an existing daughter collection, with the same rights filtered down to all existing items within the sub-collections inside.
I swear this is possible, but for the life of me can't figure out how to do it without editing the database tables directly.
Can you please give me a clue.

I have installed ant tested DMXLite, and I prefer the DMXLite content list beacasue the column descriptions are more large (aprox 50 of the table). Hello,
I'm adding a new Module action item to the DMX module called Delete apart from having it in the dmx:toolbar section. And i want it to point to the original method Hard Delete in PortalModuleBase.vb .But i'm not sure how to trigger any sort of event method from
Actions.Add(GetNextActionID, 'Delete', 'Delete', '', '', '', True, DotNetNuke.Security.SecurityAccessLevel.Edit, True, False) in dispatch.ascx.vb
Any suggestions in this regard would be greatly appreciated.

Downloading files in Firefox 3391 4

I have several files that I have uploaded that have spaces in their names. When I try to download the files in Internet Explorer, the spaces in their names are mapped to an underscore. So a file called 'A name with spaces.doc' is downloaded as 'A_name_with_spaces.doc'. However, when I download the same file with Firefox it is simply downloaded as 'A' the rest of the file name after the first space is lost as is the extension.

Hi,
I've just discovered a problem that I hope can be fixed.
We have numerous content editors who are uploading documents. Most (if not all) of these editor have named their files using spaces, i.e. 'product specs.doc'
When someone tries to save this document to their hard drive, DMX ignores everything after the space, so the above file would be then named 'product' with no extension. If they then try to re-upload this as a new version, since it no longer has an extension, DMX doesn't kno...

1)
if a user creates a new document which must be approved by a special user/group, he does not see his own unapproved item ! I think his is not very practical, cause if he wanna change something before the document is approved, he can't do that.
So perhaps you can find way that a user is permitted to see his own unapproved documents for editing.
2)
Is there a way to display the user who approved a document in the document details

HI,
i use DMX 03.04.08 on DNN 4.3.6.
If a user set a item to private. he does not see this item in the collection ! But if he search for that item, the item is displayed and can be downloaded. This search and download function can also be done by any other user.
So something is wrong inside the management of private items !!!!!!

Some of our content editors are continuing to be confused by what a Collection is versus a Category. Is there anyway I can customize the interface to change the word 'Collections' to be 'Directories' and to change 'Categories' to 'Descriptive Categories'
