After a fierce race to get one of the available presenter slots at OpenForce 2009, I am immensely proud to have been selected to present at this event. This conference, which is part of the larger DevConnections event, will take place on November 10 to 12 at the Mandalay Bay resort in Las Vegas.
The presentation that I will be giving is entitled Content Localization in DNN. Those that know me, know that this is one of my ‘hobby horses’ and I’ll be riding it again this November. We recently held a European DNN Pro workshop here in Switzerland and this was one of the main subjects. I’ll be happy to bring some of those discussions to the floor in the US where Content Localization is still very much ‘this European thing’ (we keep nagging them about it).
The presentation will most likely go from problem to potential solutions. At this point in time I feel the emphasis will be on the ‘problem’ part as I still feel the issue is not well understood on the other side of the big pond. But maybe events between now and then will shift the focus to solutions. Certainly it is very encouraging that it is on the agenda.
Now, for a shameless piece of advertizing. If you do have the opportunity to go to this event, please consider it. It is the biggest concentration of DNN know-how you’ll find in a yearly event. Not only will you be able to meet a lot of DNN core team members, you’ll also be able to sit down with many of the professionals in the DNN zone like skinners and module vendors (i.e. like myself).
